What’s my favourite part of helping members? Developing genuine, reliable, and trusting relationships. I take pride in being there with them to celebrate their financial successes but also being there to offer support and guidance through the less-than-ideal situations as well. When my members persevere and succeed, it feels like I do too.
What’s one piece of advice I can give that I think is crucial? “Knowledge is power.” Finances can be scary and easily fall into a category that not many people like to talk about. I want to change that. Life is about learning and evolving every single day to better yourself and the same goes for the financial aspects of your life. Reach out to your local experts and take control of your financial wealth with less fear and worry and more knowledge and power! I know if I had taken my own advice years ago, I could have avoided some crucial financial mistakes! Have fun with your money but find a balance and create a plan that supports your goals and lifestyle!
What keeps me up at night? The what ifs – what if I hadn’t made that decision? What if I would have done this differently instead? The what ifs are endless. I try to remind myself that we can’t change the past, but we can change the decisions and the paths that we choose to make going forward. Sometimes it’s not so easy to change your thinking but dwelling on the past won’t make things any better.
