"Financial Literacy is a passion of mine because it gives the opportunity to share knowledge that I have gained and pass it on to others through many of life’s varied circumstances. I enjoy helping people better themselves in any way possible and being able to provide an opportunity for someone to do that is such a rewarding and positive feeling.
Our financial literacy program is for everyone from school children to retirees, you are never too young or old to learn something new and better your life. I enjoy presenting financial literacy to schools, community groups, and anyone that has an interest, we can all learn from one another."

Hello! I'm Kasandra MacKay, and I'm passionate about bringing financial literacy to our communities.
Why Financial Literacy Matters:
Financial literacy wasn't emphasized while I was growing up. You learned as you went, and it could be a challenging experience. I'm proud to be part of a team that's changing this narrative. We aim to provide knowledge proactively, so people can be comfortable discussing their finances and have a basic understanding of how things work. This helps you focus on other aspects of your life and reduces stress.
What Drives Me:
I'm motivated by the desire to give back to our communities, where our families live. We want to see our communities thrive, and we believe that financial literacy is a significant way to make that happen.
What Inspires Me:
After every presentation, I feel a deep sense of satisfaction. Knowing that we've helped at least one person in the group, providing them with knowledge they didn't have before, is incredibly rewarding. Engaging conversations that occur during and after these presentations are truly inspiring, making me excited to do more.

My family immigrated in Canada when I was 18 and I was just starting to learn about making financial decisions in a new environment and a new culture.
