Synergy Credit Union is a member-owned financial institution serving over 27,000 members across 11 communities in west-central Saskatchewan. As the fifth-largest credit union in the province, Synergy ranks among Canada’s leading credit unions, with more than $2.8 billion in combined on- and off-balance sheet assets.
Synergy offers a full range of essential banking services through its traditional branches, the nationwide ding free® AccuLink® ATM network, online and mobile banking platforms, a user-friendly banking app, enhanced live chat, and a locally operated Member Contact Centre.

Our History
Founded in 1937 as the Regina Co-operative Savings Credit Union, Conexus has grown and evolved alongside the communities we serve. Through decades of change, innovation and growth, we've become one of Saskatchewan's largest credit unions. Today we serve members through 57 branches across the province and our purpose in serving local communities remains at the heart of everything we do.
Timeline
1937 – Regina Co-operative Savings and Credit Union was established
1945 – Regina Co-operative Savings and Credit Union became Sherwood Savings and Credit Union
2003 – Sherwood Savings and Credit Union merged with Moose Jaw and Assiniboia credit unions to form Conexus Credit Union
2006 – Conexus Credit Union merged with Prince Albert, Heartland and Moosomin credit unions to form Conexus Credit Union 2006
2026 – Conexus Credit Union 2006 merged with Cornerstone and Synergy credit unions to become Conexus Credit Union
Our merger journey
In 2026, Conexus Credit Union 2006 officially merged with Cornerstone and Synergy credit unions. By working together we're building a stronger, more resilient credit union that stays member-focused and true to our shared values.
January 1, 2026, was our legal amalgamation date, but integration takes time. Think of this as the start of the journey – we're merging, not fully merged yet. For now, it's business as usual. Nothing changes until something changes and we'll tell you well before anything does.
