Synergy Credit Union Announces 2025 Synergy Shares Scholarship Recipients

Synergy Credit Union is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Synergy Shares Scholarships, recognizing the exceptional aspirations and dedication of young leaders in our communities. Each recipient receives a scholarship award up to $4,000 ($1,000 annually for up to four years) to support post-secondary students in pursuit of their educational and career goals.

Briella Tuchscherer, attending the University of Calgary, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. With a long-standing passion for helping others and a love for children, Briella’s path was cemented after a job shadow at the Lloydminster Hospital, where she witnessed two births. With several close family members affected by cancer, Briella has found her calling in becoming a pediatric oncology nurse, aiming to provide compassionate care to young patients and their families.

Rider De Jong, enrolled at Olds College in the Bachelor of Digital Agriculture program, is focused on the future of farming. His goal is to lead in the evolution of farm equipment and support innovation in cost-effective agri-tech solutions. Rider is determined to help the industry become more efficient and sustainable for future generations.

Congratulations also go to Kaydence Siegel, this year’s Synergy Shares Scholarship Family recipient, awarded to an immediate family member of a Synergy employee or board member. Kaydence will attend the University of Saskatchewan in the Bachelor of Science Nursing program. Her dream is to become a registered nurse working in either pediatrics or labour and delivery, and to continue growing professionally so she can provide the best care possible. She is passionate about supporting those in need and is motivated by a desire to make a lasting impact on others' lives.
