Financial Literacy

Synergy Credit Union is a strong advocate for improving the financial literacy in our local communities.

Our Synergy Emerging Leaders Committee plans and operates the Financial Literacy program and reach people of all ages and backgrounds, including youth groups, seniors homes and college open houses. We are able to present to any age group and have held a number of family-oriented activities in the past. Presenters work directly with school boards to organize events for classes - but it’s not just for kids, we have taught parents during educational evenings too. And it's available across the Synergy Credit Union region.

The committee uses interactive activities to keep all audiences involved and entertained.

The topics covered include:
  • Budgeting basics
  • Loan basics
  • Boost your credit score
  • Protecting from identity theft
  • The impact of inflation
  • Much more
