CEO Message: June 3

June 3, 2020

Dear members,

Synergy has been operating within health official guidance (restricted hours of operations, physical distancing, limiting group size, increased sanitation, sneeze guards, etc.) for a few weeks now and have been planning our actions going into Phase 3 of the Saskatchewan reopen plan next week. This, coupled with the notion that a second wave is likely forthcoming later this fall, has me cautious about moving too quickly.

I am observing branch traffic numbers increasing steadily as more members hear that Synergy is open to the public again. More branch traffic is pushing up against health official limits for group gathering limits, which may force Synergy to increase traffic monitoring at its front doors and possibly closing its doors again to assist in managing within health official guidelines. I know from experience that many members will not appreciate this action.

Therefore, I ask all members to avoid non-essential travel into our branches for service. I encourage you to do as much banking online as possible. To support this, we have extended our Member Contact Centre hours for your convenience, these hours are 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday to Friday, and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.  You will find our Member Contact Centre staff most helpful for most of your banking needs. Most calls are answered by a live person in less than one minute — a very high standard in the industry. Give them a call at 1-866-825-3301 and 1-306-825-3301 and see for yourself.

My team is working to find solutions to transactions that require in-branch service today to help reduce essential traffic to the branch. A member of Team Synergy may inquire with you on what brings you into the branch and may position an alternative solution for your transaction. Please be open minded to trying one of these solutions to assist Synergy in maintaining compliance with health official guidance. Your patience and cooperation during these unique times is greatly appreciated.

Please continue to check our website for regular updates.

Drop me a note if you have questions or concerns. Your feedback is appreciated.

Stay safe. Take care.
