CEO Message

Dear members,

Many businesses are reopening along with other community support services. It is evident during my city travels that traffic has picked up, with many people cycling and walking throughout the day.  I think this is great - a little exercise and fresh air is good for everyone.

I would like to acknowledge everyone for their efforts in limiting the spread of COVID-19 to date, but we cannot celebrate success yet as we are not out of the woods. Health officials continue to caution everyone of a second wave that could be worse than the original outbreak. We must continue to follow their message of:

  • Increased personal hygiene; wash your hands often and do not touch your face.
  • Maintain a safe social distance of 6 feet.
  • Eliminate non-essential travel.
  • Stay home if you are not feeling well.
  • And ensure proper use of a mask in public where social distancing is challenged and/or you need to leave your home when you are not feeling 100%.

Team Synergy continues to work hard to serve you better. My teammates are proactively reaching out to members to share suggestions for alternative solutions to your transaction needs. I am learning that so many of our members do not know some of the services we provide like Remote Deposit Capture (Deposit AnywhereTM), Interac e-Transfer†, online statementsmobile app and our Member Contact Centre. Please be open-minded to trying one of these solutions so that Synergy can maintain compliance with health official guidance. Your patience and cooperation during these unique times is greatly appreciated.
