Message from CEO
August 31, 2020

Dear members,

Summer is nearly past, and school is about to begin. Many are anxious not knowing what to expect with increased activities and the possibility of broadening of exposures to COVID-19.  From my point of view, I am becoming more comfortable with increasing my activities knowing that everyone is doing their part to keep everyone safe. Simple things like maintaining a physical distance of 6 feet, washing your hands often, staying home when you are not feeling well, and wearing a mask when physical distancing may not be possible, substantially reduce the likelihood you will contract COVID-19. These small inconveniences can stave off what could be a potentially life-altering illness. Thank you for your vigilance in protecting you and others from contracting COVID-19.

Effective September 1, 2020, we are expanding our branch hours. All locations will be open to the public Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Our call center hours remain unchanged - open at 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday to Friday, and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, our staff is flexible to meet members on a scheduled appointment basis when it is convenient for them when our normal open hours are simply not sufficient.

In closing, I ask you to “Be Kind” to both yourself and your neighbor.  We are all experiencing a loss of our normal life activities and at times things feel overwhelming. Never underestimate your ability to positively impact someone’s day by simply reaching out and asking, “how are you doing.” A minute of your time can make someone’s day feel a lot less stressful when your neighbor knows someone cares. As well, it is OK to not be OK. If you are struggling, reach out to mental health support services at 306-787-7239, 306-820-6250 or use their online services.  There are many resources available, you are not alone. We are stronger together, so take care of yourself and each other.

Stay safe and take care.
Glenn
