Message from CEO Glenn Stang

April 28, 2020

Dear members,

It has been a week since we opened an online system for processing CEBA (Canada Emergency Business Account) loans.  So far, it is working well, and many members are passing along their appreciation for the quick and simple process.

A small handful of applications cannot be processed for various reasons. Our lending team is following up with the applicants to ensure the correct information is gathered to complete the process, and to ensure as many members as possible can participate in this program.

Synergy continues to work through the BCAP (Business Credit Availability Program) process with EDC (Export Development Canada). Please be patient with us as it could take Synergy up to 4 weeks to gain approval.

The Saskatchewan government has announced plans to “re-open Saskatchewan.”  It outlines 5 phases that begin on May 4th, which is a cautious approach and gives us a sense of what is to come in the next few weeks and months. Synergy is taking this information into consideration while reviewing our plan and what it will look like to re-open our doors. The health and safety of Team Synergy and our members will remain the core of decision making, while balancing the high-quality service expectations of our members. More information will be shared soon.

To stay up to date on what is available from the government, I encourage you to visit COVID-19: Guide and Government Aid Programs regularly. Many of the programs’ details change regularly.

Drop me a note if you have questions or concerns.

Stay safe. Take care.
Glenn
