INTERAC e-Transfer

You ask, we listen. Synergy has made improvements to INTERAC e-Transfer limits and recipient lists. If you have Small Business Online Banking, you may be pleased to know that your personal INTERAC e-Transfer profile and small business INTERAC e-Transfer profile are now separate.

What does this mean?

  • INTERAC e-transfer recipients for personal online banking will not show up on your business online banking, and vice-versa.
  • Personal and business account sending and receiving limits will no longer be lumped together, they will be considered as separate.
    • For example, the business signer can send up to $7,000/week from the business account as well as $7,000/week from their personal account. Prior to this change, a cap of $7,000 is all that could have been sent/week from business and personal combined.
  • Action required: Each business signer will need to log into Small Business Online Banking and create an INTERAC e-transfer profile and add business recipients.
  • No action is needed for your personal online banking.

INTERAC e-Transfers sent through Small Business Online Banking prior to March 6, 2018 can be found in your personal online banking e-Transfer history.
