1. How can I figure out which account is best for me? Expand/Collapse

Great question. Some financial institutions have many account packs that are hard to understand, have hidden fees and dings on top of dings. At Synergy, our account packs are transparent and easy-to-understand so you can find an account pack that works for you (and you won't have any surprises with extra fees). We stand true to our credit union values.

The SmartPack Ag automatically adjusts between four levels each month based on your account balance and activity to give you the best deal (it's called the Smart feature) – and minimizes your overages, too. We know your business may vary from season to season or may be cyclical with transaction volumes. Thus, the account does the work for you (where you are at the right level at the right time), reducing your overall cost.

The PowerPack Ag continues to provide significant savings each month through higher transactions included and a preferential U.S. exchange rate included. You can also get a discounted rate on cash management services, which is more than half the price of the marketplace.

Cash management services: It also is important to factor how much cash you deposit in-branch per month. Your first $30,000 cash deposited in-branch per month is included in any of our account packs. This applies to cash only; your non-cash deposits are included in your account pack transactions.

If your business or ag operation deposits more than $30,000 cash in-branch per month, it is:

  • $2 per $1,000 cash deposited in the SmartPack Ag, or
  • $1 per $1,000 cash deposited in the PowerPack Ag

(This only applies for the amounts that exceed $30,000 cash deposited in-branch per month).
Please note: this is significantly less than the market, where banks charge $2.25 to $2.50 per $1,000 in bills and per $100 in coin.

2. What is the SmartPack Ag Account Pack? Expand/Collapse

That's a great question. The SmartPack Ag Account Pack includes a combination of transactions and will automatically adjust between 4 levels every month based on your account balance, banking activity and transactions, resulting in your business or ag operation receiving the best deal. We call it the Smart feature – a unique difference and feature in the marketplace. If you do more transactions in one month you will be bumped to the higher priced level; if you do less transactions in a month, you will be moved to a lower level.

Plus, if you qualify for a $0 monthly price, through the minimum monthly balance waive, the Smart feature will automatically move you to the right level with the lowest cost. You can trust you will get the best deal every single month, which reduces the overall cost and overages of your account pack.

Here's what's included:

  • Pay as low as $10 per month (or $0 with minimum monthly balance waive).
  • Relationship Rewards (receive competitive pricing across all your products, based on your relationship with us and our partners).
  • Includes 15, 30, 75 or 150 flexible transactions each month (can be a combination of person-assisted or self-serve transactions). Get the best deal each month with the Smart feature (it does the work for your business).
  • Unlimited scheduled internal systems transactions.
  • Unlimited INTERAC e-Transfer† transactions to send, included in transaction count to receive.
  • Free e-Statements.
  • Earn ways to get to a $0 monthly fee. With the minimum monthly balance waive, you can get a great return, receiving your monthly price rebated back.   • Access to Small Business Online Banking included in your pack (Set up your employees or bookkeeper with full transaction capabilities or limited to view only).

We appreciate your business and want to be able to provide you with the account packs that help you save money, while matching what's best for your ag operation.

Here's what's included in the PowerPack:

  • Preferential U.S. exchange rate.
  • 150 free transactions – can be a combination of person-assisted and self-serve transactions (additional transactions are $0.75 each - effective October 1, 2018 additional transactions will be $1.00 each).
  • Unlimited scheduled internal system transactions.
  • Free unlimited INTERAC e-Transfer† transactions to send, included in transaction count to receive.
  • Free e-Statements or paper statements.
  • Access to Small Business Online Banking included in pack (requires set up).
  • Access to more than 1,900 participating Credit Union ACCULINK® ATMs are free of charge (as long as they are within your monthly transaction limit).
  • Earn ways to get to a $0 monthly fee. With the minimum monthly balance waive, you can get a great return, receiving your monthly price rebated back.
  • Relationship Rewards (receive competitive pricing across all your products, based on your relationship with us and our partners). Relationship Rewards: with your annual business review, you have opportunities to earn more competitive rates on your investments or loans, as well as earn an annual review PowerPack discount (up to $150 per year), based on your relationship with us and our partners (ie. loan protection, credit card, investments, etc.).
  • Up to $30,000 cash deposited in-branch monthly is included in pack. For those who deposit more than $30,000 cash in-branch per month, you receive a cash management services discount with the PowerPack Ag (at $1.00 per $1,000 per deposited). The cash management services is for only those businesses who deposit more than $30,000 cash per month in-branch. If this applies to your business, our pricing is less than half the price of the market (other financial institutions may charge $2.25 to $2.50 per $1,000 in bills and per $100 in coin).
